P1400 code but NO EGR A/C not working.

Question

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier SE crew cab 3.3L V6 4x4 and am getting codes P1400 & P1401. These are both EGR related codes, but... my truck has no EGR! The place for it is capped off. Im trying to get the A/C working. When the code is cleared with a code reading tool the a/c runs ice cold until the truck is shut off, once cranked back up the codes come back and a/c quits working again.
