What would cause a 94 jeep grand Cherokee to throw the codes p1716 and p1719

What would cause my 94 jeep grand Cherokee to go in limp mode and throw codes P1716 and P1719? Its got a 4.0 in it.

On a 1994 there was no drive by wire it was cable driven , and the 1994 was a OBD 1 system rather than a OBD 2 system,  Can you recheck the codes and year
