2012 jeep compsa check engion error code p 16 16 any help would be great.

Question

when driving jeep will start to rev up and rpm will go to 5 or 6 while only reaching 20 mph. shutting off and on will fix for a while but now it will not even try to start. no click or sound. all other electronics work fine. battery is less then 1 year old.
