I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma with engine code P0420, how do I fix it?

This code is for the catalytic converter on bank 1. This can be caused by a bad converter, exhaust leaks and or a bad rear O2 sensor.Normally it is best to have this checked with a scan tool. Make sure the rear O2 is functioning as it should prior to spending the money on a catalytic converter.
