battery terminals cables get really hot and terminals get stuck with a short static

i went to work and car turned on like always,but at the end of my shift car lights and car wouldnt turn on.i try to move the terminal and it started to get really hot and lots of static on the terminal,it felt like if the terminal was get stuck to the battery port.
Vehicle: 2005 dodge neon sxt 2.0
