How do I know if their is leak in the vacuum line of the evaporative system

My 1996 Honda Accord EX 4 cylinder failed the smog test on the Evaporative System ... it said it was not ready.  I drove it around, had the AC on as advised but it still failed he test.  Is their a test for the gas cap to tell if it is faulty & how do I know if the vacuum line has a leak ?

The best method for testing for a leak in the evap system is to have a smoke test performed. Smoke fills the evap system then using a high intensity light we look for leaks. From the sounds of it your problem is the evap system monitor hasn't run yet. This can be tricky to make run
