P0597 Cruise Cntrl1 Control Ckt / open

Question

Got this code P0597 Cruise Cntrl1 Control Ckt / open.  Is this really a cruise control problem?  Everywhere on the internet it stats it's a thermostat problem.  Any ideas on how to fix it?

That correct this is the thermostat operation. This is a straight forward code condition . Mini has also produced a TSB for the thermostat electrical condition TSB # M120612 titled "cooling system thermostat electrical connector. regardless the thermostat will have to be replaced and the thermostat harness connection
