Hyundai when the engine is running and the MAF is unhooked no change why is that?

Hyundai Santa Fe when the engine is running and the MAF is unhooked no change why is that? The MAF is brand new and there are no leaks. I got the engine codes P0100 and P0102

This indicates the maf isn't doing anything at all. If you still have these codes after installing a new maf, you need to check the wiring back to the computer. If it's good, then the computer has the problem.
