The problem with this code for the 2.8 is it does not use a P0039, If you have a hard to crank issue  or long cranking time , the most cause for this condition is the fuel filter housing issue, What common on this engine is air entering the fuel lines, Jeep has a update version for the fuel filter housing  for this condition, it involves replacing the whole fuel filter housing with the water separator and its heater control terminals
