I have had the complete bulletproof kit install which consist of ficm, oil cooler, egr cooler, egr, head gaskets, and studs. Intermittently truck will start chugging when going up hill. Also intermittently feels like I'm not getting much boost even though gauge says I am. I get the po299 code. Service has replaced fuel pressure regulator. Didn't fix. Replaced turbo. Didn't fix. Now they think it is injectors. Please advise. I have had this truck since it was brand new in 05. I have thrown a lot of money at this problem with no success.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, this code is kind of broad with possible causes, so it will be trial an error to narrow down the exact cause. Here is a list of possible causes for you.
