I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee that is showing the P0700 code.  While driving it just before this code came up, my jeep would not shift past 2nd gear...the rpms continued to rise with no shifting and no acceleration past 28-30 mph.  My husband bought and replaced both speed sensors on the advice of a mechanic...but after replacing both, the problem is still occurring...Any ideas on what else could be causing this?

Hi there

The P0700 code is an information only code. Basically it's there to tell you there is a code stored in the TCM. Based on your symptoms I would check the fluid level and if it's dirty replace it, then have the codes read. It sounds like a faulty shift solenoid
