How do I fix the P1775 code on my 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L?

Question

1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L with code P1775. The car starts and runs well and intermittently the engine stalls. restarts fine.

This code would not stall the vehicle out, but it is a result of the engine stalling out affecting the transmission.
