This is the code I am getting p1705. Car will start, but will not go into drive, it will go into reverse

P1705 Transmission range sensor out of self range test
This code is for the gear selector sensor. you get this code when the during a key on engine running test where the ECM detects that the gear selector is not in Park. If this is a Key on Engine off test, replace the gear selector switch .
