P0036 - would this fault be causing my car to "chug"

Question

Under heavy acceleration my car pulls and picks up speed but not as smoothly as it should, it chugs like it's getting full power them 70% power then full power again, this fault code is showing up could this be the problem

P0036 this code will not cause the car to chug, but is the result of the condition you have. Fuel pressure should be suspected with this type of condition
