what part is p0506. can i fix at home or do something without buying part

I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer that is giving me a code of p0506. I need to know this part is & if I cab fix the problem without having to buy the part as I'm disabled on a fixed income. If the part has to be bought & replaced where is it located on my vehicle? Thank you. All help is appreciated.

You can try cleaning the throttle body. Sometimes this will solve the code without having to replace the throttle body.
