The idle speed is 1600to1700 rpm in park this is after the truck got hot I used a water hose to spray down the radiator to help cool it down could that shorted out the cam shaft sonor

P0340 Camshaft position sensor circuit malfucntion

Cool down the radiator by hosing the radiator with water is more than likely not short out the cam sensor, To begin with a camshaft sensor code is famous on setting with a Dodge, either a camshaft sensor code was already setting then unfortunately set.
