P0304 Chevrolet -

Question

My 07 Tahoe has a p304 code come up. Check engine light is on. Service stabilitrac comes on and goes off. When stabilitrac light comes on the truck will shift really hard. I changed plugs nothing changed. I changed wires nothing changed. I just changed the fuel injector and throttle body and sensor. I took the truck for a long drive to try to recalibrate it. What happened is now my check engine light flashes and stabilitrac light stays on. The truck is really misfiring horrible now and I can smell carbon monoxide. I don't know what to do. Can somebody please help me.

P0304 Misfire number 4 cylinder

What you may is a misfire but not at the number 4 cylinder, When a misfire is detected the ECM caculates the information by using  the cam position sensor and the crankposition sensor. Alot of GM product do not identify the true cylinder that is misfiring due to cranshaft position sensor replacement and no crank relearn ever performed which can lead to wrong cylinder being identified as the misfire conditon, check the number 7 cylinder for the misfire , if possible swap the coil of cylinder 7 with a known good cylinder.clear the code and retest
