2002 NISSAN ALTIMA -3.5 automatic

Question

car looses speed signal to transmission after coming to a stop shut it off and restat and it comes back and will upshift until you stop then no upshift speedo works fine no issuse with speedo.

If the check engine light is on I would have it scanned. This is likely a problem with the revolution sensor on the transmission, not the speed sensor for the speedometer.

The revolustion sensor is located on the driver side of the transmission and you can get best access to it through the wheel well.
