C1170 NISSAN - do i have to change maf sensor when this code comes up

what do I need to do when code c1170 shows on the car scanner?

Typically when you get the 174 code, that is an indication the maf sensor is the problem.

Normally however the car will have serious power issues and the engine rpms won't go about the 2700 range.

You may also have a vacuum leak after the maf sensor so check for that as well. The C1170 code is not a code I can find in the book. Most C codes would be for the ABS brake system.
