P0340 NISSAN - where is the camshaft sensor located on a 2000 frontier

I'm trying to locate the camshaft sensor but no luck, does anyone have a diagram?

Hi there!

The cam sensor for both the V6 and the 4 cylinder is part of the distributor. If you have this code, check the wiring and replace the distributor.

Also, on the V6 you will get this code if the rotor on the distributor isn't turning. This means the truck likely broke the timing belt.
