2003 Dodge Caravan 3.3L with engine code P1595, what should I change?

Hi there,

The code is for one of the speed control solenoids for the cruise control. There are quite a few possible causes so it's not as simple as what part needs to be replaced. It has to be diagnosed to determine what has failed. Here is a list of possible causes:POSSIBLE CAUSES 

 

• Ground circuit open
• S/C servo
• Intermittent condition
• (V30) S/C brake switch output circuit
• (V30) speed control brake switch output open
• Brake lamp switch
• Speed control power supply circuit
• PCM (S/C power supply)
• Speed control vacuum solenoid
• (V36) speed control vacuum solenoid control circuit open
• (V36) speed control vacuum solenoid control circuit shorted to ground
• PCM (vacuum solenoid)
• Speed control vent solenoid
• (V35) speed control vent solenoid control circuit open
• (V35) speed control vent solenoid control circuit shorted to ground
• PCM (vent solenoid)
