Nissan frontier 2007 code P0462 and U1000 - what does it mean?

Service engine soon light is on and obd II codes U-1000 and P0462 came up when scanned. What is wrong?

Hi there,

The code P0462 is for the fuel level sending unit inside the tank. In most cases the fuel level sensor must be replaced to resolve the issue.

The U1000 code means one of the control modules has stopped communicating with the ECM via the lan system. In most cases you will need a high level scan tool to determine which module needs attention.
