I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu LS with a 2.4 liter engine. When the car is cold the transmission works just fine. After it warms up the car looses power. It will still drive but I have to mash the gas peddle and it takes quite awhile to get up to speed, and then the transmission isn't working properly. The engine light is on and I have come up with engine code PO700. I know that it means possible problems could be, transmission control module or transmission solenoid. Has anyone had this identical problem with there 2010 Malibu with 2.4 liter engine? I am willing to purchase a new TCM just to see if that fixes the problem as well as replacing the solenoid. I have been researching to find out how to replace the TCM but coming up with nothing. Can someone please help me.

P0700 Transmission falut detected MIL light requested

This code is only infomative , there should be other code with this beside P0700. The ECM can also store this code as well as the TCM. If the transmission had a solenoid fault it would set a code along with P0700. this code can also set when there is a communication problem which would set a "U" code. Replacing the TCM will not resolve any solenoid or internal transmission malfunction. check for other code that will set.
