P0356 coil ignition cyc h

Question

I had the obd come on for ignition coil # 4 6 8. Could they all have gone bad or maybe I have a ECM issue. Should I try taking them out and replacing them or is there another issue making them all go bad on that side off the motor...

Hi there,

It is possible for them to fail all together, not common but it is possible. If the spark plugs are badly worn it can cause the coils to have higher resistance then normal and cause a problem. This could also be the result of a faulty intake manifold gasket or an actual issue with the mechanical timing.
