Question

I got a 97 civic stick shift and got troubleshooting codes: P1706,P0700 AND 1758. I would like to know what is it and what part to get. Thanks

Hi Richard,

This is very puzzling because the codes are for shift solenoids in an automatic transmission and should not be there on a manual. This has to indicate some type of computer issue, either the wrong one is in the car or something inside the computer has gone nuts because if you have a manual, you don't have any shift solenoids. To be honest I suspect the part you are going to need to buy is the PCM.
