what if you've changed out the temp sensor, and the thermostat, coolant level is ok is there a way to check the temp sensor to make sure its not a dud?

HI there,

To check the temp sensor, take it out and connect a volt meter to it. Set the meter to resistance and then put the temp sensor in water. heat the water and make sure the resistance on the sensor changes as the temp increases. If it does, then there isn't a problem with the sensor. The issue is somewhere else. It could be the wiring to the computer causing the problem.
