P1457 Honda -

Question

I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX that has a P1457 code. What do I need to check and or replace to remove the code? Does the code reset itself or does it need to be rest by the dealer or mechanic?

P1457 EVAP control system leakage (EVAP cansiter system)

This code condition is difficult to find , But there a common trend that can cause this code to occur, Check the vacuum hose to the purge connection what happens when there is airfilter change, this hose tends to get knock off, As for clearing the code, When  the ECM runs the evap monitor and the system passes, the light will go off, other than that the use of a scan tool can trun the light off,
