When the air is running, the car is hard to stop. When stopped at a red light or stop signs, wants to jump and keep going. The car will randomly stop in the middle of the road. The brake feels like it gets tight when it won't stop. Happens 90% of the time when the air is on. The air makes the car idle too high, which makes it hard to control. But the check engine light hasn't been on, at all. The code that we found for this problem is P0507. Any possible way to fix this?

The car also goes dead on me atleast 2 times a day. Most of the time when I take it out of reverse and put it in drive or neutral or take it out of drive and put it in reverse. The car will shake and then die.

Hi there,

If the car is showing this code, then it's possible the problem is with the idle air control solenoid. This is an electric motor mounted to the throttle body. Sometimes with these you can remove them and clean them up with some carb cleaner. Occasionally they get gummed up and then they can't move. If this is the case it should return to normal operation once you clean it up.
