I have the engine code P2270 on my 2006 Ford Ranger 4.0L for the Oxygen Sensor. How do I fix the code?

P2270 - 02 sensor signal stuck lean Bank 1 Sensor 2

Being Bank 1 is where cylinder 1 is located and Sensor 2 is the downstream 02 sensor or the catalytic monitor sensor. What can set this code is an exhaust leak right before the catalytic converter, or a cracked catalytic converter which is not uncommon for a Ranger. In any case, P2270 is set due to a cracked catalytic converter and not the 02 sensor.

Here an exhaust leak right before the catalytic converter leak such as these will set a P2270. Just welding the exhaust leak shut solved a P2270
