What parts do I need to correct and clear the engine code p0440?

This code is sort of a blanket code that doesn't have a single specific part needed to solve the problem. It is basically saying there is a problem with the evap system, but doesn't know where.

Best method is to have a shop smoke test the emission system, then to save money replace the component needed yourself. In a lot of cases the canister close valve is the culprit, but without proper testing there is no way to be sure.
