2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4.0L with engine code P1501, how do I fix this code?

Hi there,

This code usually means there is an issue with the IAC on the throttle. If the engine is running fast or has a low idle, you can remove the IAC, then clean it up with some carb cleaner. Most of the time if you do this and re install the IAC it will resolve the code and issue.
