i have replaced the fuel cap twice with a aftermarket, but you know how some of them stores are so i them purchased a oem at my local dealer. it came back, does this car use a purge control solinoid or is it a roll over type valve attached to the tank??

The most likely cause of the code is the vent control solenoid. If it is stuck open it will produce a gross evap leak and other codes related to the evap system. It's pretty common for the vent control valve to fail on these.
