Question

Scanner says PO455 MOD $D1 I replaced gas cap & purge solenoid under hood but still get this code on 2001 Cherokee 4.0

Hi there,

The best test method for this code is a smoke test. This will locate the source of the leak. It could be leaking from the fill tube, any of the vapor tubes to the leak detection pump, the purge solenoid. Even if the O ring on top of the fuel tank is leaking at the O ring for the fuel pump you can get this code.
