When my dealer changed the VTC sensor he did not change the solenoid ,this is the VQ35DE dohc engine , the solenoid is almost always referred to as the sensor and is almost always confused with and is always wrong . this is a 2001 Pathfinder Also my Hanes Manual does not stipulate this
Someone needs to enlighten more folks on this as i kept getting codes even though the RH & LH sensors were replaced. So my question is should the Solenoids be replaced also . On this engine they are located on the front on each bank ,close to the sensors. Geo

How are you confusing the sensor with the solenoid?

If you are getting the P1135 code you more than likely have to replaced the solenoid. P1135 is Bank 2 (Left Side)
