The evap system is what controls the fuel vapors from the gas tank. It keeps them inside the system so they can't get out into the atmosphere. This code basically means there is a leak in that system. I would start by checking for a loose gas cap. If the gas cap is tight ans sealing properly then the next step should be a smoke test. This test locates the leak so you can repair it.
