On 2007 Ford Escape XLT 2.3L
Ran an OBD II scaner. No Codes (it read)
Yet, the alarm keeps going off randomly and the dome light also stays on randomly.
Have been told by Ford Svc.MGr it takes up to 45 minutes for computer to 'reset' when
Scan has been made, or battery disconnectd.
Yet cannot isolate the issue of alarm, and dome light.
Anybody got some ideas?

P1000 Monitor not set, monitor incomplete

This is not a code condition, it just means you monitor for a emission test is incomplete, what causes this is a recent battery disconnection or a reset of a CK ENG LT. or just reseting the ECM. The "P" codes are for the powertrain. which is used to protect the catalytic convertor. what you need to gather is a "B" code or the body code from the GEM (generic electronic module) , The most common cause of the dome not turning off is the door switch (especially at the driver side) to acces the door switch the door panel has to be removed.so it either at the drivers door or at the passenger door. getting a "B" code will help narrow the cause down.
