P0332 GMC -

Question

Where is the 2nd Knock Sensor on a 2000 GMC Sierra? Is it in the front or back? Thanks.

P0332 Knock sensor circuit  low input Bank 2

The knock sensor are right near each other.It advisable to do both knock sensor and apply  TSB # 02-06-04-023A. , What the TSB bulletin wants you to do is to apply RTV sealant around  sensor cover.

 The location , the intake manifold will have to be removed for access

Here the knock sensor cover is removed , without the RTV sealant to protect against water tends to intrude the knock sensor area.

 Here a knock sensor that prematurely failed

Clean out as much debris as possible,

And when the knock sensor are reinstalled use RTV sealant to its cover  to help prevent water from entering it chamber.
