Does code P0308 have anything to do with P1299? This fault code, as both codes came up.

1997 Ford F150 4.6L V8, it seems strange that both codes would come up at the same time unless one has something to do with the other.

P1299 Cylinder overheat condition occured

Check the coolant level, make sure it is full, and the operation of the cooling , if there is a coolant leakage that entered into the sparkplug well
