What will happen if I continue to drive with the code: PO122? Is my car safe to drive? How much is it estimated to cost me to fix this? What are the recommended steps after finding out what is wrong?

Do you have any drivability problems? If you don't, then you could safely keep driving your Civic. The cost of the repair depends what the exact problem is, who performs the repair (dealer or independent shop) and what part needs to be replace.

You could start by clearing the code. Sometimes an sticking throttle plate could cause that code. If the code comes back, then you may have to replace the sensor.
