Have a 2001 jeep wrangler showing codes p1282 and p1388 can you point me towards the root of the problem

P1282 Fuel pump system relay control circuit

P1388 ASD relay control circuit

You have a short which is causing the ASD to be non operational, with P1282 the fuse may have blow for the fuel pump, This  is where a schematic becomes more than helpful.

 

In this schematic the nearest short that can make the fuel pump fuse open and the ASD non operational. is the heated 02 sensor Bank 1 sensor 1 . check the harness of Bank 1 Sensor 1 especailly at its heater circuit. . you may have to open its wrapping to get to the harness.
