P1709 For a manual transmission this is for the clutch pedal position switch

How did you get this code, if you perfromed a KOEO (Key on Engine off) test, you have to have the clutch pedal down and gear in neutral. If this is a code that just occured, this would be a faulty clutch pedal switch.
