do you have to calibrate a new throttle position sensor even replacing old one

Question

Had to replace throttle position sensor still not working though wondering if i had to calibrate it...cause itsnow saying idle high

If the TPS sensor was replaced it is part of the throttle body, there is no calibration , If there is a code you would have P0507. Check for vacuum leaks especially at the throttle body gasket, you may just have a vacuum leak causing the high idle condition
