I pulled the hose from the diverter valve. The hose from the pump is not pushing/blowing any air. I would like to replace the fuse to see if the pump starts working. If it does not, I will replace. If it does, I will replace the diverter valve. Unless someone else has a better solution. Thx

Best answer

P0410 Secondary air injection system

The first is to check the operation of the air pump. ( and yes check the fuse first) there are several ways to test the operation of the secondary air pump. The first step is to identify the secondary air injection pump relay. You can jump the relay and with Key on engine off, the secondary air pump should turn on.

The best way to check the operation of the secondary air pump is to use its own relay, just remove the cover.

Here you will expose its working circuit if you collapse the side of the relay you will send power to the secondary relay and the air pump with key on engine off should turn on

GMC Envoy Secondary Air Injection

Reinsert the air pump relay in its circuit. and collapse the relay so its switches will make conduction and turn the air pump on.

GMC Envoy Secondary Air Injection

You will need to find the secondary air pump relay and the airpump.

If the air pump fails to turn on

GMC Envoy Secondary Air Injection

you replace the pump. if the pump does work apply TSB 06-0604-017 what is required will be the air injection pipe replacement
