P0700 Transmission fault detected MIL light requested.

The 2004 for the transmission the  code is in the  TCM  which will require you to use a scan tool. The first component you want to check is the transmission fluid level  Here is a Chrysler with a P0700, the cause was low transmision fluid level.  From a leaking transmission pan gasket not only did low fluid level cause P0700 its hard shift caused the upper engine mount and lower engine mount to tear .
