P1456 Honda -on CRV 2004 2wd 4 cylinder, I replaced fuel new cap I still have check engine light. No gas fumes detected and no effect on engine operation so far. Where can I go to next to find out if it's a Vapor canister saturated or failed purge solenoid?

Thanks for any advice

P1456 EVAP control system leakage (Fuel Tank System)

There only 2 possible causes for P1456 The EVAP bypass solenoid valve. and the vapor control valve. The one here end up being a vapor control valve getting replaced, but in this case you can can smell fuel especially near the fuel tank . There is  one more cause for P1456 that may apply to you and that is TSB 04-002. what this is about is the fuel fill as being the cause for P1456.what it talk about is the fuel tank cap is being binding when installing. where the threads in the fuel fill pipe binds when installing the fuel cap. When you install the fuel cap if there is resistance or it bind you go with the fuel fill pipe. If it installs without binding and turns without resistance as the fuel cap is installed the TSB does not apply.
