P0244 Subaru - Could it cause Clutch Burn out

Question

I got this code pulled and a none subaru dealer is telling me the clutch i burned out is this possible to do? The code says Turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid "A". But the dealer where i got the car is saying i blew the clutch based on the smell it has. Give me some feed back please.

You can smell burned clutch, P0244 is related to the turbo waste gate.

if you have problems with the clutch and there is a smell, then you most likely burned the clutch.
