P1447 BMW -

Question

Where is the DMTL tank? How can I determine if it is opened or shorted?

With this code is there an actual leak going on ? What is actually happening ?

P1447 DMTL system fault

When this code occurs the DME see a high pump current, when a high current is detected either of the 2 scenerio is happening, The DMTL somehow is disconnected or is no longer operational.

BMW also produced a TSB # SI B12 19 10. About the DMTL failure and its warranty guide.
