P1396 Variable valve timing solenoid

This is for the variable valve timing of Bank B, , when dealing with this code on a Jaguar, 2 main condition  are going to set this code , either the VVT solenoid or the VVT actuator with the camposition sensor reluctor. Troubleshoot the VVT timing solenoid, just remove it and apply battery power to it if the plunger operates . the solenoid is good this leave you with  the actuator as being faulty
