Code P0720 - What does this mean?

Question

F250 Super duty 6.0 L Diesel, 5 speed Torque Shift electronic transmission.

Engine trouble light came on and the Tow / Haul mode light on the shifter began blinking.

Hi there,

This code means there is a problem with the output shaft speed sensor. This is mounted to the outside of the transmission at the tailshaft housing. It sends the signal to the TCM and if it fails will cause the tow/haul light to flash. In most cases the sensor is the issue and once replaced the system will return to normal
