P0420 Honda - 2001

Question

Is it serious....i got my car scaned and the check engine light still on because of the p0420....Will my car die on me while driving it and catch a fire??

Whenever the CK ENG LT comes on it is to inform the driver that emission limit has been reached or exceeds manufactuer emission limits, the purpose for the catalytic is to protect the enviroment from harmful emission with a P0420 the catalytic cannot control the harmful emission that the vehicle is emitting.
